Re: Millions of us might be **** if we ignore the Russian-Ukraine war
I think Putin will look to find the flimsiest link to somehow implicate Ukraine. Apparently doing precisely that it seems. 8-| Claims that when apprehended, some of the alleged shooters were headed for Ukraine. I do wonder though, just how many ordinary Russian Citizens will swallow that. :-? I'm c...

PHXPhlyer; Re your DIY innovation post; It's hardly a new invention. Something virtually identical was devised and used by some members of the Australian Army at Gallipoli in 1915.

Cannot view it probes, as it wants me to disable my Adblocker and/or sign in. Re Putin's massive 'win'; Saw on the SBS TV news here in South Australia some brief interviews with voters here in Australia and one bloke, with a fairly broad Aussie accent say that ..."Putin is the saviour of the West.."...

Re: Friday Jokes
You'll get no arguments from me, Admin2.
I daresay that some will disagree with that, but if it appears that it's 50% 'afore ya', and 50% 'agin ya' then I think that you have got it about right!
For the record; I did think that Ricardian's post was a little OTT!

Re: The really boring and totally pointless snippets thread V
What altitude do you take them to Pinky or is it on request? I just keep climbing and they release when they want to. 2,000' AGL is generally the minimum unless we're going through a large strong thermal and above around 1500'. If they think the thermal is worthwhile they'll release. Today's maximu...

Oi!! Fair flamin' go!! [-X I'm doing the best that I can!! ~X( Seriously, the problem is quite complicated but part of the reason is/was excessive planting of Vines some years ago with no contracts at the time for actually selling the Fruit. Some rather large plantings here in the Riverland of SA we...

Re: Electric Cars II - Not Silly!
Reently overheard a conversation re Electric Vehicles where it was stated that here in 'Oz' the very second a new Electric Car is driven out of the place from which it has been purchased it depreciates 40%. :-\ No idea as to the veracity of that statement. probably iced soy latte with caramel drizzl...

Re: The really boring and totally pointless snippets thread V
44C yesterday with Scattered Cu, bases around 9,500' so I launched a few Glider Pilots. One flew about 370km. Today it's 43C and a Blue day so only one Pilot wanted to give the day a go. He's currently at just over 7,000' just south of the Waikerie A/F and only flying within a 30 km radius of the fi...

Re: MH370
A segment of the SBS TV News this evening here in South Australia was marking 10 years since the disappearance of MH370 and it featured emotional interviews with relatives of some passengers. Quite expected really. But also expectedly, all the Relatives interviewed expressed desires for the finding ...

Re: Millions of us might be **** if we ignore the Russian-Ukraine war
Interesting article in the Australian Newspaper today, saying that Kim Jong-un has sent 1.5 million Artillery shells to Russia, but around half are 'duds.' A General Skibitsky was reported as saying 'However, these shells were made in the '70's and '80's. Half of them do not work and the rest need t...
