Probably a good time to drop a few drones in there - they won't be expecting it and it'll be more difficult to get the services in to put out the resulting fires.fortunately the Ural river flood took care of another oil refinery anyway

I suspect the latter: the two letter code for South Sudan is SS; CC is that for the Cocos Islands, halfway between Australia and Sri Lanka - not the first place one would suspect for scammers, but everyone seems to be getting in on the act these days!

Re: The really boring and totally pointless snippets thread V
When we had solar panels installed last year they came with wire fencing to prevent birds accessing under the panels. Might be worth thinking about that, there seem to be a few different systems available on line.

AM 14 PM 13 I was congratulating myself, then remembered I'd already done the morning one last night! That explains how I got the Hard Word as well. ^! Seems very quiet round here today, little traffic, no ambulances (we live close to the main drag to the local hospital), the only phone call was fro...

Re: Rant of the Day v2.
Apparently, common practice is to seek the services of 'house clearance' facilities, who typically charge a couple of grand and get to keep whatever is removed. When used properly they have their advantages. My sister died in mid 2021 (her husband died in late 2020) and I was appointed sole executo...

Swedwn supplied Gripens to the South African Air Force so manuals, etc., in english would probably be available which might ease the problem, if only slightly.God only knows what would happen if we end up with Hungary training Ukrainians on Swedish Gripens.

Can't you persuade him to do it by threatening to use a Barbie pink stain?Painting Hub's chest of drawers today. Sick of the stain colour. Such frivolity chez Limey.

Re: The really boring and totally pointless snippets thread V
One shopkeeper told me that they were buying their milk from France, but when it reached the Spanish border, they poured it all down the grid. Is that in revenge for the french winemakers hijacking lorry loads of spanish Cava at the french border and emptying them down the drains because the Spanis...

'February Filldyke' by Benjamin Williams Leader https://i.pinimg.com/originals/c7/15/6b/c7156bb12ca15e11d980a53222cc82ab.jpg I used to have a copy of this picture - one of a set of six free with Jet petrol back in the late '60s. :-? Found them very useful for filling the empty walls of a new house. ...

But you wouldn't see it if you were on top of it would you?No Tower, GG.
You get the best view from the top so I'm told - I've lived here for 36 years and I haven't made it up there yet.
It's getting to be a bucket list item.
