Re: SpaceX 1st Astronaut Launch

SN9 has hit a stony patch. After the brilliant success of the Falcon launch and recovery, three static fire tests were aborted yesterday.

Re: Coronabollocks..

This is very puzzling - today a 'REACT' group (Imperial College) reported that rates of infection have not been affected by the lockdown and are still rising. This is in complete contradiction to Tim Spector's report of 21 Jan which says rates are indeed falling and are around half the New Year peak...

will not prevent one of the South African variants infection. may not work against the new South African strain. Slightly different? Which one are you pushing, then? We have known this for ages, since the C-20 arrived. The Oxford 'tweak' is old news and was announced by HMG several days ago. Not an...

Re: 737 Missing over Java Sea.

There have been 'rumours' circulating for a while of throttle issues and I gather from Av Herald that Bloomberg (paywalled for me) are hinting at this, and that some sort of inspections have been ordered. Certainly A/T clutch failure on the 737 (an exercise on one of my sim checks somewhere in histo...

Re: Coronabollocks..

All agreed, but I see the 'modified' vax programme as a somewhat last ditch attempt to avoid a probably inevitable surge in hospitals should lockdowns either not work or be dis-regarded. I don't see PN's idea of topping the seriously ill to make more room in ICUs as a good one............... I assum...

Re: Chaos in USA

Whatever we may individually think of the Chump (and his complicit wife) I do think that in the interests of rebuilding the USA we should now back off until the expected legal processes have begun, when fun could be had again. We should, of course, remain 'loaded and locked' should he raise his head...

to discourage the anti vaxers
According to the BBC today the 'anti vax' campaign is very active on social media in some parts of the UK. I seriously wonder if the 'campaigners' are really genuine or just malicious.

TIME TO REPEAT: The lovely Lorraine from DanAir entering the flight-deck with knickers around her ankles and a cup of water in her hand:
