Re: SpaceX
The awaited report from SpaceX should be very interesting. One would hope that the apparent failure to sustain ignition on the B and the loss of attitude control on the SS should be relatively simple to cure.

Re: NHS privatisation
What a co-incidence - the guy - Frank Hester - who had made the largest donation to Tory funds ever - just happens to run a software company which has the contract to provide computer services to the NHS, holding most peoples' records. It is called TPP. Unless you 'opted out' a while back, your medi...

For penny-pinching UK readers
You may want to check your bills. My local council has issued the Council Tax bill for 2024/5. In it they show the percentage increase on last year’s precepts for various items. Two items are of interest: The precept for Adult Social Care is shown as an increase of “2%”’ on last year. The actual inc...

Well, if they did the paperwork would have blown out once the panel came off, wouldn't it, so they unfortunately could not produce it.

A big undertaking
The gruesome discoveries at the undertakers in Hull (UK) where 35 bodies appear to have been 'mishandled' has caused great understandable distress amongst the families. It does, of course, beg the worrying question - which bodies were actually being 'disposed' of? https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news...

Re: LATAM flight LA800 accident
That is a far more likely explanation for the violent manoeuvre, but the discrepancy between the Captain's comments and his event remains, as Ex-A says and is important and cannot be ignored.

Doesn't really add much except 'Juan exposure' to this incident. The reported loss of all instrument panel data/electrics remains unexplained and if true is crucial.

Watching the on-board video during the SS re-entry it was concerning to see large black chunks flying off! Tiles, I guess?

I remember all the excitement over the Flettner rotor - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flettner_rotor - seems to have dropped out of propulsive systems but is used in ventilation and there are videos of model aircraft flying using the rotors.

A very successful third test with what appears to be a flawless launch, stage separation and insertion into orbit. However, both bodies lost during recovery, but the ensuing data will be priceless. Well done SpaceX!

Re: More Boeing Bad News
I wonder how the first crew to fly on Starliner will feel about Boeing being in the production line. I understand the capsule has had to be stripped to replace a lot of wiring which has been 'found to be flammable' :-o Better check all the doors and door plugs..........................and paperwork,...
