Re: The Smokin' Hot Where On Earth Thread Mk III
Not Poppit Sands Ex-A . The road is The Princess Margaret Way and it's Aberavon Beach, Port Talbot. The grass knoll to the left is nicknamed Tellytubbies' Hill and underneath are 'the finest beach toilets in Wales' according to one PR blurb. I thought the old bean reference might have led to PT, loc...

Steel yourself and go west young man!
(The beach does has a Tidy Beach award. When I typed tidy I realised it was appropriate given we are in Wales - glad you got the ref to G&S )

Re: The Smokin' Hot Where On Earth Thread Mk III
Thanks Cape. It was mention of an excellent aviation museum which prompted me to have a look around Krakow. A couple of years ago I visited the city but the aviation museum was closed on Mondays, our only 'free' day.

Re: The Smokin' Hot Where On Earth Thread Mk III
It is Nunnington Hall (NT) in Ryedale - a beautiful spot by the river on a summer's day. Wonderful interiors and also home to the Carlisle collection of miniature rooms: 3100B71A-4574-463B-B73C-9EA9B7E4F1FD.jpeg On the day we visited there was a lot of aviation action over the Howardian Hills - BBMF...

Woensdrecht!
Last night Mr Fox and I trawled for an hour along Belgian and German borders looking for bases in NL. I remember reading about Woensdrecht and now not sure why we rejected it then. Very interesting articles online and dits from Mr Fox.

:-bd C16 It is the Wedgwood Museum at Barlaston, Stoke. It's well worth a visit to tour the factory (view the productIon from a lump of clay to hand painting the china) and view the amazing Wedgwood ceramic heritage collection which was saved for the nation by the V&A and others.
