Re: The Rest is History

Au contraire. No matter how many staff were allocated, I could never be trusted with tea*, so the only solution was to send me to an aircraft with no catering facilities at all. Unfortunately, OASC discovered, early in the process, that I could make tea and "wouldn't make a pilot as long as I had a...

Re: The Rest is History

The interview at OASC was designed to find out what opportunities were available to you and what you did with those opportunities. A couple of mandatory questions were thrown into the interview: involvement with the police, and involvement with drugs. Probably changed now and you’ll be chopped if yo...

Garret is a first class twat who got completely out of his depth in politics and sold out on all his alleged principles. Succumbed to flattery by Krudd.

Re: Britannia comes home

Did a few trips in Brits when I was at Brize. The back end had a nasty habit of corkscrewing and that, combined with the chemical smell of the dunnies down the back, was quite nauseating.

Re: Songs for the Bogon

OK. I'll rise to the bait seeing as GG seems to have divined my character from a few posts on here. The YouTube clip was one of the most beautiful performances that I've ever heard. Mind you, being in possession of quite a few recordings of Gurrumul's work and having seen a performance I'm well acqu...

Re: The Smokin' Hot Where On Earth Thread Mk III

Having visited there a number of times I know I'm correct, so, in the absence of corroboration I give the next challenge. Name of the town will do. And, as I'm about to head for my bed there'll be no clues or corroboration for the next 8 hours (if I'm lucky :D )

I read an article about the EA a couple of years ago where it stated that the organisation has as many vehicles as staff -they've obviously got their spending priorities right.
Bit like our shithouse local government with its totally inept CEO.

There’s always a chance, particularly at this time of year, that the North Atlantic will do its worst and they’ll have a man child overboard situation.

Wonder just how many of these city-centric, tree-changers have a 30 metre cleared area around buildings? As a now retired firey I used to despair of folk wanting the forest right up to their windows.

Bugger! Just answered the front door to find two Jehovah Witnesses. Didn’t used to get them at our previous abode.
