Re: New Zealand
Maybe it's about time they were all sent home to reflect on what sacrifices have been made, especially in the 20th Century, to enable them to speak freely on any subject. Some misguided souls left a lot of graffiti around the country and dyed ponds and fountains red on Anzac Day. I hope the police a...

Re: Malaysian navy helicopters collide mid-air
Back in 2003, seven were killed when two AEW Sea Kings collided in the Gulf. The seventh man was a USN officer observing the AEW versions in action. The controller thought the two pilots were visual with each other - one inbound and one outbound. https://www.theguardian.com/uk/2007/jan/04/iraq.milit...

Our ships visited Copenhagen in 1967 and nearly all the cadets went to visit the brewery. Carlsberg and Tuborg tastings after the lecture were excellent. Sadly I've now lost the little enamel elephant lapel badge.

Sturgeon doorstepped and explains what it's like at home at the moment. Awkward over the breakfast table maybe, discussing when the knock at the front door might be for her. Schadenfreude anyone, but maybe she can wriggle out of this one too? https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-13327887/Nicola-...

Many thanks for the kind wishes - a lazy day and a great (in both senses!) meal out in the evening. Large glass of Aussie red back at home later

One more to go now, but I won't hold my breath! Living together, how could Sturgeon not have known what was happening, unless they were not living together?

Re: Australia
This reaction seems very similar to the riots in Ireland a few weeks ago. In both it was the police that suffered from the rioters' actions. There is a lot of resentment against their governments that is bubbling just below the surface but will their concerns be addressed or glossed over? Showing th...
