^ South Canterbury: from Arowhenua Station Road, then from around 10:00 north on the main highway.

The river at around 20:00 is the Opihi River just south of Temuka; then at 25:00 the Temuka River; then the town of Temuka.

Total distance around 6km.

At the moment: blue dome, bright sun, 5.5°C expecting 16°C by the afternoon.

Stars very clear overhead earlier.
