Two B52's have just passed over the mansion about 5 minutes apart, don't know if they will send any more. At 27000ft. and 400kts heading a fraction East of North wonder where they are bound.

I was in the Merchant Navy so I didn't go but two of my mates went in together. One was a Baker and asked to go in baking the other was a motor mechanic and asked to go in transport. I think they both went in the infantry.

Re: The really boring and totally pointless snippets thread VI

I recall that there was a dark, silent, restaurant in St. Kilda,Melbourne a few years ago. It got rave reviews but I couldn't see the point. It has been a cool dull and wet day on the Humber. The electric blanket will warm the bed up tonight. I went out this morning and heard a cuckoo for the first ...

Allegedly serving breakfast at the time, which usually stimulates a lot of people to go to the toilet so could be queueing. Someone did impact the ceiling in one of the toilets.
Do they have seatbelts at the first class bar seating, Mrs Ex A?

Re: Rant of the Day v2.

Was at the local T.esco today about 1700, it is a very large one but was almost out of salad stuff. Unusual for us to go on a Monday so don't know if that is the norm but I was surprised. We normally have a delivery from them every 10 days or so and that is the only time I peruse the availability, I...

I am pleased the runt is making it, I was worried about him/her earlier. Still seems to be at the end of the queue for food though. Mrs 1DC's father was a steeplejack at one time in his life and I think his daughter has the genes. She can stand on the edge of a cliff without problem whereas I cannot...

It isn't quite perfect in Paradise, or, as the majority would say it is a grotty day on the Humber just as it was yesterday and is forecast to be tomorrow! 15C with frequent rain showers and no wind to blow it all away.I had intended to look after the roses and give them a dose of fertiliser, all th...

Orcas will kill when they are not hungry, watched them separate a new born whale from its mother once and then kill it. They then just ate it's heart and left it.

When I worked one of the chaps I worked with went on holiday to the Dominican Republic and went on a rafting trip with his wife. He said it was a disaster, very frightening and half the people fell out with the good swimmers having to work hard to rescue the weak ones. A couple of days later two peo...

Re: The totally-totally non-political show of all times: 'united by music' - Eurovision song contest!

I understand you can apply to participate in the competition and you pay an entry fee! Australia were invited for a reason that I cannot remember. Last year the BBC staged the competition in Liverpool on behalf of the Ukraine who were otherwise engaged, apparently it cost between 14 and 18 million p...

I would like the Israeli girl to do well just to pi$$ off the professional protesters squatting outside. Same protestors would be off like a shot if they thought a better cause would get them more publicity.

The weather guessers here in the UK are saying the visibility should be good to see the aurora tonight if we get any but on the Humber it looks as if we are getting bit of fog. It is HW at 2100 so it may clear up after that!!

In the Russian bus crash, the drivers wife says he worked 20 hours the day before and was then forced to work the morning shift the next day! He survived and was arrested.
