Went out onto the patio this morning to find that the rat had gnawed through two corners of the tub's lid but only through the overlap, not directly into the tub like the other corner which is now covered by a weighted bucket.

Did the incident ho yo their record as such? Not really sure. NTSB 830 says fractures of fingers, toes, nose not an accident. Also not sure if there is anything in FAR Part 141 which covers flight schools. Only other issue besides the injury and healing time was missing her original CFII checkride ...

High density altitudes here combined with the performance (or lack thereof) of multi engine training aircraft (typically PA-44 Seminoles here) makes for stall / spin scenarios during MMC A demos. Multi Engine Instructor (MEI) is a separate rating. The Flight Instructor ratings for Airplane (Category) are Single Engine, Multi Engine, and Instrument.
