Re: General Election views
I seem to recall the euphoria of so many happy to have parted with their £25 ......alas, ever been well and truly had ?...chaps ! Makes you think Nige missed his vocation really..with "leadership " like his, a career in the military would surely have ensured success..... https://www.theguardian.com/...

Re: WTF is happening in the UK?
I'll come to the subject of this post shortly but, as always, it was a delight to read so many collective posts based on your own quaint insular views. I was amused to read the bit an "drinking and driving "...and "respect for police " in the same sentence for example. And fancy the character of a v...
Re: Cricket
Fabulous day of cricket. Test cricket is truly the greatest form of the game. Whilst many plaudits, correctly, are going to Archer for a superb debut let's not forget about a certain S.Broad. Having had, by his high standards, a mediocre 18 months he has remodelled his action and run up slightly to...

Re: Chaos in the UK
I believe the death penalty, scrupulously applied, and without undue delay, would save untold thousands of innocent lives. I understand many U.S. police officers have their own interpretation of the death penalty......many seem to be colour blind as well. Shame about Didcot...another much loved gli...

Re: BREXIT - A Poll & Discussion
Great stuff from Anne what !...that's the sort of representative the UK needs !.....and not forgetting Nige's dynamic leadership where the rest of the party turned their backs on the assembly and the music..... Yep, that's the Brexit party for you...and Anne, bless her demented rant, so eloquently e...

Re: Chaos in the UK
Cricket being on the long and growing list of things in which I have 0 interest, I won't be. I happen to know Headingley is Leeds, and probably mostly Indians - they are fine people and I would exempt most of them from my *sh*t* list. Alas, Headingley is in Leeds, it's not actually another name for...

It certainly does....and it shows. Does this "ilk " include pig farmers at all ?Pontius Navigator wrote: ↑Sat Jun 15, 2019 3:35 pmOK, I wear light blue but I also do community work since I have retired. Admittedly I get paid for some of the work and others are not all from the same ilk but one's upbringing does mould the character.

Re: The disgraceful BBC
Ah, yes, well and good, but if anyone else cracks a joke or makes a comment that they (the unwashed left) don't like they are up in arms, racism, political correctness and so on. I think that Brand should be binned, if only for not being funny if nothing else, her size, appearance and political bel...

Re: This is a poll. Who will be UK's next PM?
BoJo got 117 votes. Runner-up was Jeremy Rhyming-Slang with a mere 43 and last in that line powdered his nose with only 37. Loathesome and that tasty totty bint got the boot, as did some bloke I've never heard of. If Bo's minders can keep the duct tape on his gob for a whole month and persuade him ...

Re: The disgraceful BBC
K&C - I'm afraid you are hoist by your own petard here. You say "No, she didn't say she fantasised about throwing battery acid....." Your wiki link says "Brand said "Why bother with a milkshake when you could get some battery acid?" She later added: "That’s just me, sorry, I’m not gonna do it, it’s...

Re: The disgraceful BBC
Yes very informative, this was my original question, Do we feel that the non negotiable licence fee that elderly and frail old age pensioners will have to pay should be spent on employing people to incite violence towards politicians or not. Any chance of an answer? Certainly. The "incitement to vi...

Re: The disgraceful BBC
This raddled and unappetising old women makes a living by this sort of shrill humourless offering, at least I suppose she is trying to support herself and keep off benefits. Who it was aimed at is irrelevant, it was a pre recorded programme, the BBC editorial team considered it to be acceptable, th...

Re: The disgraceful BBC
Back to topic, the police have said they will 'examine a case of alleged incitement' against the woman. Jo Brand told comedy panel show she fantasised about throwing battery acid Nigel Farage today called Jo Brand an 'overpaid, so-called comedian' Ofcom has so far received 65 complaints about episo...

Re: This is a poll. Who will be UK's next PM?
I recommend "Greggs " pasties, also "Ginsters " and those from a local bakery, wot obviously you wouldn't be able to get, for your culinary celebrations. All beaten into a cocked hat by the meat and potato pies of the now defunct UCP. Delicious even eaten cold after a few glasses of draft Bass in t...

Re: This is a poll. Who will be UK's next PM?
When Blair became PM I instinctively didn't trust him, I thought that he was false and dangerous and was surprised that others didn't see the same, I have the same feeling with Boris. Nigel is giving a crisp, clear idea of his position, his plan and how he will go about it, this has resulted in a l...

Re: The disgraceful BBC
I am not sure one can blame the BBC, other than for their appalling judgment in giving airtime to that vile, ugly, Labour supporting, unfunny, butch and crude Brand creature. Ironic that she shares her surname with that ghastly Russell Brand. If I am watching TV, which is rare, and rarer still that...

Nothing like using tax payers money for a spot of personal vanity really.....there again, she is the MP for Tatton so her constituents will probably be all in favour...... For those who are uncertain as to the location, and pretentions, of the constituency, if you dep / arrive to and from the West a...
