Re: Chaos in Oireland.

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=NlyqqslsITs Very dramatic barkingmad. I suspect that Ireland will manage perfectly well without those "bliksems" called the English (oh yes, and some demented Welsh and a couple of "simple" Scots)... I see, as usual, you have a most lurid YouTube source for your pro Br...

Re: WTF is happening in the UK?

A little insight into 'dear Dom' If Dear Dom is in fact, as suggested, 'Russian leaning', we may have an inkling why the Buffoon has not published the 'enquiry' into Russian interference in UK politics which should have been published last year. Now I hear 'Dear Dom' is seeking access to secret mil...

Re: WTF is happening in the UK?

At the risk of sucking big toes here I must state that last three posts above represent comments from three people I respect a great deal on this site and I agree pretty much with all three of them in their opinions as stated above. My respect is not built on sycophancy either but on the moderate, w...

As with many folk, TGG, it is the 'Free Speech' I want to hear, but the stuff I don't want to hear suppressed. That's what 'Free Speech' is.
Succinctly and accurately stated sir! :-bd

Here is the Australian CAA S76 Flight Manual for a little light reading. Performance calculated by the manufacturers and approved by their CAA and much as I remember the ones in use by BAH, BCalH, KLM Helicopters (RLD approved) and Bristow for various types. https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=...

As ever chaos in the USA, inspires incendiary events elsewhere in the world... Re: AAIB bulletin - Helicopter landed on wrong offshore deck

Question for the cognoscenti here. I was looking at at an overview of the operational performance standards relating to Category A and B helicopters in the EASA environment yesterday and was apt to ask if there are official approach and departure plates for the rigs in the North Sea (and elsewhere) ...

On June 21, 1972, in an Aerospatiale SA 315B Lama that was lightened as much as possible, I reached an altitude of 40,814 feet, establishing a helicopter altitude record which remains today . That flight also wound up being the longest autorotation in history because the turbine died as soon as I r...
