Sitting here waiting for new TV to be delivered. Gate open, security bars open, window blinds up. And it's a tranquil day, no noise anywhere. Phone beeps, "your parcel has been delivered". WHAT ? Hit localiser "it's on your terrace". Actually under the car port. Utterly silent delivery.

Six times peeing in night makes me tired this morning.

Wind howling thru bedroom window. Clouds scudding across blue sky. Day at home waiting for Big River to bring new TV.

We wonder who buys all these huge TVs. You can cover a wall for €500-600. Surely not everyone lives in houses with immense living rooms ? Ours is 50m2 but walls either covered in pictures or huge windows. No room. Carrefour has them stacked ten deep, every make under the sun, many I've never heard of.

I've gone for a 43". We don't want room dominated by giant screen (although the huge screens are ludicrously cheap at Carrefour).

Just looked up price. Last TV cost €399 abt 12 years ago ? - This one, bigger brighter, smart, blah blah blah, same manufacturer, €333.

A very warm end to the day. Outdoors on the terrace that is. Indoors cool enough to need heat on tonight.

Ordered a new TV. The third one in 20 years, so not over extravagant.
