Re: Absent Friends
Sad to hear about Coffman PN. His user name always reminded me of the times I got to play with Canberras, Hunters, and the venerable Chippie. All of which IIRC used cartridge starts. RIP Coffmanstarter, you'll be missed. Alison Sad news indeed, I had a few exchanges with Coffman on TOP, generally h...

Re: Who is going to be the next PM?
Isn't it interesting - now that the brave guys have stepped down (due to no-plan for the morning after), women have to make sense in the mess? And about time probes, Westminster is finally catching up with the regions of the UK in that respect ( ales and Scotland). I still think Cameron stood down ...

Re: Who is going to be the next PM?
so what, aren't we all at some time or other? No It's like Cameron with his "Didn't we all do drugs?" No to that too. Do remember that politicians, lawyers and journalists are buried at the bottom of the public trust league for a very long list of reasons. That they almost all as bad as e...

Re: Who is going to be the next PM?
No she was wrong, we don't vote for a pm therefore there is never a mandate for a pm from the electorate. A mandate for a party, for a manifesto commitment now that is a different matter. What she was doing was what every politician does, making whatever statements they can to support whatever point...

As did many, and in common with those, she was wrong. The electorate vote for a constituency candidate, a party at a push but not PM. Time to move on and let her get on with the job.

Re: Who is going to be the next PM?
Cameron has just announced he will take PMQs on Wednesday then go to the Palace. May will be in #10 by Wednesday evening. Labour are calling for a GE. Anybody's guess as to whether it will happen - arguments both ways for May to choose from. Labour are irrelevant - there is absolutely no need whats...

Re: Who is going to be the next PM?
So, what's your opinion of May's record as Home Secretary? She did as good a job as any have done in the role. She stood firm against the old guard in the police despite the pressure against her. She also voted against introduction of tuition fees which I admire. May has good personal qualities, ho...

Best news all day, Loathsome would have been an unmitigated disaster as Pm. May is the voice of unity that we need at the moment. let's get this side show over and done with and move on - there is work to do.

Re: Out, apparently, doesn't mean Out
Comprehension would be another criteria. Too many are all too ready to offer an opinion fuelled by emotion rather than thought.

I agree. I wasn't offering an argument, nor responding to anything, merely making a statement. You appear determined to find fault in everything Lilly. Once again I apologise for whatever it is I have said to upset you.

The ability to posit a cogent and coherent argument should also be added to the electoral franchise eligibility criteria.

My apologies Lilly, didn't mean to upset you. Re your 2016 Zambian vote, maybe worthy of a new thread, perhaps more relevant there than the Brexit thread.
