What do I need to know, GCA?

Our Link Trainer project is moving slowly along and now it has been suggested that we offer GCA (ground controlled approach). What T15 said, the condition looks better than many volunteer-run aviation museums. Well done.
Thanks, sometimes we acquire aircraft that are in flying condition but at end of life for one reason or another but there are several we rebuilt or assembled from veritable kits of parts.

Re: Plan your next OE**

Very nice John. Clearly a lot of work has gone into refurbishing and maintaining those exhibits, and it shows. Simply curiosity, not criticism, but why the short opening hours? Getting volunteers to cover can be a challenge in a small town but it is something we should review. We can be somewhat fl...

Re: Chaos in Germany

This weekend's Financial Times has an article on the surge in recruitment of former technicians and engineers specialising in nuclear power generation - thousands are needed - as many countries revive plans to build new generators of clean power . All except one European country of course, sufferin...

The West has been in this "nonsense situation", where the political control forbids the winning of wars, since the Iraq fiasco in 2003.
putin was and is rather relying on it. So is Xi.
The 'West' i.e. the USA, has not won a war since they had the USSR was on their side in WWII.

Re: My first car

I was somewhat amused some decades ago when we visited a certain consulate in London, UK. They offered to have someone drive us in the 'big car' to Brize Norton and it had to be the 'big car' as there were three of us plus the transport officer and a driver. We needed the driver as the transport off...

Re: My first car

Austin A35, not my first car. Bought it in Sydney for $40 and drove it down to Melbourne where I met up with a girl who was waiting to hear about a job in Townsville so we drove north and continued on as far as Cooktown then back to Townsville where she was to meet her employers. One of the Townsvil...
