Re: The disgraceful BBC

Interesting twist. The teenager's lawyer says that the mother's claims are rubbish.

Re: The disgraceful BBC

Surprised no one regenerated the thread. BBC suspended senior male presenter who paid a youth £35k for porn pics. They refuse to name the presenter. This is the same BBC that televised the police search of Sir Cliff Richards. Excellent point made on Talk TV yesterday. This is the BBC that takes publ...

Window might be easy.
Remove internal trim, that's the difficult bit but there may be YouTube video.
Lift window glass and latch back on to the supporting frame.
If the lift arm is broken then it's more difficult.

Fox Quite

The bigger and better the box the less wealthy the owner.

I am of the opinion that programme content lags well behind the technical specifications of the box.

Re: Rant of the Day v2.

Telegraph today: WEALTHIER households should pay more for the BBC, Richard Sharp has suggested in his first interview since standing down as chairman of the corporation. Do wealthier even watch the BBC? I rarely watch broadcast TV and would be happy to subscribe to some drama series but compulsory, ...

Re: Titanic tourist submersible missing.

Death after the implosion may have been instantaneous but they may have had the full Hollywood in advance of failure: warping sounds, pinhole leak etc. Finding a pin hole leak in a 3,000psi hydraulic leak with your finger would have your finger off. At 12,000 feet be a bit worrying and there might h...

Re: The really boring and totally pointless snippets thread V

On tyres, always order them online if you can plan ahead. On gunk and repairing the tyre; not a problem. Sell the car or buy a new tyre. :) I did that once, car got to 36000 miles, needed new tyres so I bought a new car instead. Comes a point when the tyres and a tank of petrol double the value of ...

Re: The really boring and totally pointless snippets thread V

While on cars, idle thought. Hydrogen powered cars have H2O as tgeircby product. Water is seen as none polluting and as we are increasingly short of water, we are told, this is a good thing.

Where do we get all the oxygen from?

Will all this extra water affect the climate?

Re: The really boring and totally pointless snippets thread V

I had a Ford with slow pressure leak. A short squirt of gunk fixed that. Sold it a few months later.

I had a Toyota with a slow leak. Eventually found a nail in the tyre. Left it in, topped up the air weekly and then sold the car. I wonder when or if they found that nail.

Did you forget to add the water as well? ;))) Currently in sole charge of Chez 4ma as Mrs 4ma is decamped to the local horsepital whilst the docs try to find what's causing her extreme breathlessness. Took her in on Friday when she had some tests and was given antibiotics and other stuff. Returned ...

Re: RAF Air Shows

Fox, the year after I filled the day at Coningsby with every different Tornado I could get my hands on, OK most were TTTE from down the road. We even had an unscheduled F3. Also mustered a dozen Spitfire.

I wonder if all the BBMF fly-bys and local publicity is a spin off from no air shows.

Mrs PN found an item that Mrs Spencer :) had billed Invictus Games for $500,000+ for the clothing she wore supporting Mr Spencer.

Apparently they said stuff it or words to that effect.

C16, a conudrum. I think about 1954 my neighbour said it's BoB day. Let's go to Hooton Park. We got on our bikes and cycled there, 7 miles as the crow flies. We didn't tell our parents. Hooton Park was home to two RAFR Sqns who were just doing their normal weekend meet when about a 1 000 people pitc...

Somebody give BT a geography lesson please. We've had a flyer from them - addressed to Mrs 4ma - about the introduction of Digital Voice, with the message "Nottingham, we're coming to see you". We are very much in Lincolnshire. Ah, but we are to be in Leicestershire:( and Rutland:) for the election...
