Re: Controversial, moi?! And not the big bad wolf...

I reckon he is Rob the Mod pr@t who feels really 'impotent' banning aviation proffesionals as he is just a plane spotting geek who feels inadequate as he hasn't got the coordination to fly an aircraft and beer bottle bottom glasses which wouldn't get him through the medical anyway.

Flying across the Kalahari

I just love this story, especially the parachuting in of cigarettes and champagne. Well there are priorities in life. :YMHUG:

Re: The really boring and totally pointless snippets thread 1

Alison, no it's that I am working on a smart phone with one finger from home. There will be no stopping me when I get into the office. Anyone monitoring the number of Trabb posts on t'other site compared to here? Significant difference. Those still posting over there are registered here, so why both...

Clocks

Forward? You will be two hours early for everything.

Sorry ^:)^ edited to add just realised your location.

I don't like these time changes. I go to bed when it gets dark and get up when it gets light and eat when hungry.

No change here in Bots.

Cabbages

Morning folks. Got a bit fooled by the bright moon at 04.45 thought it was dawn and got up. Now on second cup of tea by the pool and the 'real' sun is rising. Put some cabbage seeds in a week ago and they are already making an appearance. I put two in each hole in the tray and they all seem to be ta...

Donkeys

If you want a donkey ride come here to Botswana. There are millions of the b@stards all over the place including all over the road in town. Don't know a single person who hasn't had a car accident involving a donkey. The goats, cattle and horses move out of your way when you blast your horn. The stu...

Re: Cursive writing

Only having electricity for a few hours a day I often use pen and paper to type up later. Can't read it though. Have to ask the boss what I have written, she is used to doctor's writing.

Surely kids have to write for exams?

Maun

Sorry I forgot MUB. You can check in then go across the road to a town pub until 15 mins before departure. Wander back to the terminal, security, immigration, then stroll across the apron just in time for the doors to close. Mind you if everyone did this it wouldn't work. MUB has a runway that will ...

Re: Wot's for Tea, Ma?

LG no. Only things I have seen eating hippo are lions and crocs. Interesting actually the crocs back off when the lions appear.

Tuna pasta for lunch, with a glass of red, of course.

om15 you would probably have got a ban for that on t'other site. Exec lounge facing East Angels, Kai Tak, Rwy 13 enormous fun. I always thought that the right wing tip would take the laundry drying on the approach lights on the roofs off. Wonder how many aircraft landed with a pair of knickers or a ...

Re: Weird and weirder

Back in the UK we used to have a wildlife area in our garden where we put old logs and hay down to encourage the hedgehogs. It was a very successful programme. Our late dog was crazy about them. Used to run in circles around them in the middle of the lawn.
