I would guess that the Israelis would already have something to do that. They are at the forefront of defensive technology.
Or offensive!

Re: Idiots who shine lasers at aircraft

Well, I've been lasered at around 3,000'. If you can see the ground, the laser can see your eye. I had quite a flash, reported it on landing, and cops were dispatched. ASR filed, but heard nothing. Recently, while quenching my thirst on a Thai beach, I was asked if I'd like to buy a really quite po...

I don't think we should retire! Particularly men, who by nature need to be hunting lest they get killed, through lassitude, sheer self indulgence or carelessness. I can think of nothing worse than slowly being driven mad by daytime television, the whining of one's spouse or continual Viking cruises ...

Re: MFTS - Another "success" story?

I and 19 others were almost killed by one IOT flight commander, who was a recovering alcoholic (allegedly), and my own flight commander (with whom I did not get on*) was court marshaled and dismissed the Service 2 years later for theft. Ah well, that lets me off! I left Cranditz in 84 on promotion ...

The USA, a country now run by a bigger bunch of criminals than Putin's Russia! The USA has little or nothing to offer in terms of example on anything these days, even their military aircraft Kung Fu is weak, and save for the singular pleasure of some US individuals, and the occasional nice guy or gi...

The Colin Cruddas book on the history of AAR arrived tonight. It looks like it will be a good read. Reading the foreward by Sir Michael Beetham and he notes that despite the British development of AAR it was the USAF that formally adopted the technique first in the 50"s Only concession you will get ...

Damning a whole nation, race, religion on the basis of personal prejudice or bad experiences with a few people is quite frankly preposterous. 8-|

Just saying. There are good and bad everywhere.

A large one in an exotic South American city might be a good start but the hideous Ford will not suffice methinks! =))

Actually the modern Zetec engined Fiesta isn't a bad little car at all.

The news that Bugatti have brought out a new hyper car brought this excellent documentary on early, including the Bugatti, turbo charged cars to mind. Bugatti, the French supercar manufacturer, has stepped up its efforts to capture the attention of those for whom money is no object by building the w...

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-hampshire-47463443 A terrible pity but after the limp dicked display performance last year and in the light of the Shoreham hysteria I can only say that I am not surprised. https://ops-normal.org/viewtopic.php?p=139867#p139867 Whatever happened to the stiff upp...

Dipping my toe gently in the water. Criticizing Israel or recognising Palestinian issues should not be antisemitic. I agree with UDP. I knew two Jews. I only knew they were Jews as someone told me. I know my aunt hated Jews but that was from experience of working with them in Cyprus during the war ...

In what way is supporting the Palestinians "anti-Semitic"? Good point and since when has criticising Israeli's government been antisemitic! As for Maureen Lipman, seems she took up whine-ology years ago. Not suggesting there are not genuine antisemites in Labour but I would suggest there as many in...
