Re: The Smokin' Hot Where On Earth Thread Mk III

It has been suggested that this thread be renamed "The Capetonian WOE thread" as he was a regular contributor here. I'm quite happy with the suggestion. I will lock this thread so the next contributor can add to this new thread.

Would it be appropriate ??

If anyone doesn't feel the following would be appropriate then please pipe up. I would like to suggest that Jimthrev, our Station Padre, if willing, could pen a few words to be read at Cape's funeral from all of his friends at Ops-Normal. Mike has been a friend and regular contributor here for five ...

His family are preparing a letter which, if appropriate and Alison agrees, I will post here.
Absolutely Sir.

Cape joined us on Ops-Normal on the 23rd August 2015. That was the first day I opened the site up for member registration. He will be missed. RIP Mike.

He will be constantly in my thoughts until his return here. Can one ask is it Covid related or other?

Re: The really boring and totally pointless snippets thread IV

Ric, we can be found at ops-normal .org, .com and .net . Whilst it costs us to maintain the three domain names. I think it's worthwhile. The last thing I would want is for someone to start up a site using the .com and .net names.

Re: The really boring and totally pointless snippets thread IV

Odd. Also tried to comment on OFSO's post and got a 403 error. There's something embedded in his post causing the 403 error. Haven't woken up enough to see what as yet. Sometimes if a control key is inadvertently held down the system interprets it as an attempt to hack the system and disallows it. ...

RIP Sir Ian Holm

Another one of my favourites has departed this realm, Ian Holm. Always enjoyed any film or TV series that he was in, a lovely guy. Most recent re-runs of Chariots of Fire where he played the coach. RIP Ian/Bilbo.
