Basically correct, but diving like a brick to MDA at 5 miles and staying there would not impress me!
In the RY case there was a beacon check height they broke good and early.

Re: RyanAir near accident at Bergerac (NB 2105!!)
It is baffling for me to understand how this could have happened. 'Growing up' on RBI NDB approaches, improving to RMI NDB approaches and finally seeing the whole damn thing drawn out for me in technicolour on the NAV display with NDB pointers, inbound track and the actual runway I am aiming to boun...

Re: RyanAir near accident at Bergerac (NB 2105!!)
It is a shame, because I have always admired and defended RyanAir's pilot training and standards over the years against many 'detractors'. Obviously a large Emmental appeared here.

According to 'The Sun', 350 pilots made redundant at BA with 300 more 'laid off'. https://www.thescottishsun.co.uk/news/5 ... al-pilots/

RyanAir near accident at Bergerac (NB 2105!!)
Av Herald has published this report (released over 5 years from the event!!) http://avherald.com/h?article=48196bf2&opt=0 It is a dreadful indictment of the state of piloting in the 21st century. A crew where the F/O appeared UNABLE to fly a basic NDB procedure (how did he get a rating?) and the Cap...

Re: Military crew meals
I do think the A400 might be a bit flimsy! Another 'plastic' Airbus?
TGG - I hear that ATC told the birds to turn left onto 180 but they said they were 'comfortable' and ignored that. The RAF is to hold a bird of enquiry.

I think, on reflection, we need to see the radome. I theorise. Large flock of large birds. Entry of one or more through radome and out as shown, others strike fuselage side?

Re: Military crew meals
It's very odd panel damage. I cannot see what caused the major disruption 'outwards' apart from a possible tiny ingress in front of it. Any engineers comment?

Anyone fancy a bit of bird for lunch? https://www.airlive.net/alert-a-raf-a40 ... e-fuselage
I reckon it killed the bird.
