Re: SpaceX
A very successful third test with what appears to be a flawless launch, stage separation and insertion into orbit. However, both bodies lost during recovery, but the ensuing data will be priceless. Well done SpaceX!

Re: More Boeing Bad News
I wonder how the first crew to fly on Starliner will feel about Boeing being in the production line. I understand the capsule has had to be stripped to replace a lot of wiring which has been 'found to be flammable' :-o Better check all the doors and door plugs..........................and paperwork,...

I assume they were taken from FR24 and thus will be GPS derived I believe. Looking at the METARS there is no way................. Even Untied would be pushed to blame an icy surface............

Re: MH370
On second thoughts, if some 'extra' of oxygen and fuel was added, it should have been found out who did it and on whose orders? It looks to me as if everyone is seeking conspiracy here but the tech log looks to me like maintenance entries "N/Stop check of crew oxy and top up" Topped up (Normal proc...

Re: MH370
I have never come across 'comp fuel' before - the only Google hit I can find suggests it is a Korean Air company 'policy' to add fuel for known historic shortfalls, in which case it might not have been a crew decision, but OPS? It is quite high - around 8% and equal to final reserve. Any other pilot...

Had to admit a small snigger here - Amol Rajan (BBC broadcaster and 'chair' of University Challenge - has apparently upset Jeremy *unt by referring to him as the 'Fiscal Drag Queen' after the budget.

Re: United 777 Loses Wheel on T/O from SFO
Yes, the main wheels are normally braked as part of the retraction process. Nose-wheel also if braked, or otherwise the wheel encounters a 'snubber' in the nose-gear bay when retracted. It looks as if that is when the wheel 'fell off'. A pity the Septics don't know the difference between a wheel and...

An impressive performance by Amazon and the British Postal Service. At about 22:20 last night I ordered a small item ("order within 16 minutes for next day delivery"). The package was delivered by Royal Mail by lunchtime! That's impressive.

Re: Millions of us might be **** if we ignore the Russian-Ukraine war
We've been 'exercising' with the Swedish military for decades. I recall an excellent 10 days at Leuchars in '72 when an Ängelholm Draken squadron came over to work AD with 23Sqn. I had a recently separated RAF wife staying with us and the Swedish guys quite took to her... =)) On the other hand, I ne...
