Seems like it!,.....Mrs Vfliegs & I have flights booked with them to Port Vila in August for our 25th wedding aniversary...
Just checked the travel insurance policy, does not cover airlines failing....damn it.
Hopefully Virgin may step in & save the day!........Lots of comments in the papers here about whether the Aust Government should step up/in, or not. So many saying no way!, but none of them thinking about China stepping in with some good old fashioned 'debt trap' diplomacy.......and Bang!, all of a sudden a Chinese deep water naval port on the doorstep, no doubt a base for a Chinese Aircraft carrier to keep Australia 'in check'......
Air Vanuatu......Gone?

Re: Air Vanuatu......Gone?
My memories of Vanuatu go back to 1968 when it was a condominium of the British and French who had joint sovereignty and, a strange way
of living with 2 separate administrations, the islands then were known as the New Hebrides, which were not that well-known, so much so
mail from Australia was often sent to the Hebrides Scotland before on forwarded to me in Port Vila. Spent approx 5 months there whilst the
helicopter and ship we were working from carried out mineral exploration of all the islands. We had the best experience when exploring
Pentecost Island to witness the preparation for the Pentecost Land Divers's annual ceremony of where men and children jump from a tower
with vines tied around their ankles, back then entry was charged on the size of your camera, small $5, and large varied from $10 to $100
It still sticks in my mind as one of the most beautiful and friendliest of all the places we worked from Papua New Guinea to the Cook Islands
