Check out what my ex-boyfriend did and life-long friend now. He's a millionaire in Gabs. He recently sold one of his game farms in Maun to some Hungarian Billionaire. I so love name dropping now. I just can't wait to brag some more about me and my MILLIONAIRE friends in Botties.

Millionaire in Gabs
Nasty Bitch bent over the kitchen sink!
I could see that, if not actually disgruntled, he was far from being gruntled.

One of my family's friends - distant relative of Prunella Scales. I so love name-dropping.
Julian Scales, BlueSky Airways Director, is a citizen of Botswana and has been a successful businessman here for many years. Mr. Scales owns an electrical engineering company and an energy and gas company. He recently developed a turbine power plant for Botswana to supplement electricity for the country. He has owned and operated a charter company in Zimbabwe, as well as several aircraft of his own for business flying. With his background in business and his contacts in Botswana, he is a valuable asset on the BlueSky board.

In which case I'll bid that I knew both Koos Bekker and Mark Shuttleworth before they were wealthy.
Koos Bekker came to my office to order a computer to handle the encryption of TV signals. He had a Telex from a US company for out of date kit, I configured modern kit and it included a 512KB memory card.
He had asked for 256KB, I pointed out that the new card was just slightly more expensive and better value.
He asked if the 256KB was still available, it was so he bought it! It saved about R200.
His financial backers weren't sure that pay TV was going to work.
Mark Shuttleworth was working for a S/W house called SPL, I only met him the once.

Ian, before the SABC really got going I was with a company that made and supplied videos to the various casinos in Bots, Swaziland, etc. The videos were on 2in Ampex helical scan tapes, and were there to show punters how to play the various games in the casinos. The rooms in the hotels, like the Holiday Inn Bots, had closed circuit TV's which showed occasional movies and the tapes we made. Generally we flew the tapes in, but on a few occasions I drove up to Gabs to deliver theirs.
