In and out of Africa

John Barry did such a brilliant job with Born Free that it was inevitable that he would be chosen to write the score for Out Of Africa. Unsurprisingly, he made a pretty good job of it.

Nevertheless, good old Wolfgang also knew a thing or two about putting a tune together.

One of my favourite pieces of music from one of my favourite films from an era in African history I find totally fascinating.

John Barry was a genius.

Watching that film always makes me maudlin but I can watch it again and again.
