Yep, nice work! For some reason it reminds me of that film with - I think - Woody Allen in it and he plays a dresser getting the girls ready for their performances at somewhere similar to the Moulin Rouge. When asked what the pay is like he gives some very low figure and when the questioner says that the amount is not very much, Woody Allen's character says it's all he can afford to pay.

That story in Post #1, well: either it has happened a second time with the same names & nationalities, or it's a repeat from the 1980's or 90's, because when I lived in Germany it was the talk of the town. I remember an unrelated incident, however, where a timid colleague who was about to have his first girlfriend asked his best (male) friend to go first as he wasn't sure how to do it. No money changed hands on that occasion as she was rather nice.
