Amazon Prime's "The Rig"

Just watched the first two episodes of Amazon's "The Rig". We didn't realise it was a supernatural story so won't be watching any more episodes - it all got a bit tedious and having often lived for two weeks at a time on oil platforms there were too many annoying discrepancies which I won't bore anyone with. However it was amusing that all the main characters were named after oil fields in the North Sea - Magnus, Dunlin, Alwyn, Fulmar, Heather, Hutton, and Murchison.

I have a pal of 40 years in UK, he sent me a WA last night - "Just watched 3 episodes of 'the Rig' what a load of Sh**e"

I'm a bit late to this thread but my mate the Ayatollah of the Offshore World used exactly the same expression.

Was just looking at reviews on IMDB and read these, among others:

I have no idea why this was made. But [it] failed big time. It's an insult to any intelligent viewer.

The writer of this show was been tipped as a rising star, but if this is his best work, then I hope we don't see anything else from him.

It is quite frankly one of the most stupid, badly researched, badly acted, catastrophically written TV series I have ever seen or heard.

=))
