Climbing the paywall

Working at the moment: https://12ft.io

Not sure how long, though! Clearing the search box to enter a new URL is tedious but a right-click 'Undo' works in Windows.

The vodoo kind of worketh Sir! Mostly dropping graphics and images central to the medium and the articles :-bd

it works in a way with some sites and in a dysfunctional way with The Times (for example) where one gets a fragmented rendition of the articles which makes for more frustration than the original pay wall. I actually have a digital subscription with The Times, which is probably the biggest waste of £26.00 per month I make, the content therein being centre-right pap and wielding nowhere near the mighty heft of that organ back in its halcyon days when real journalists under the various John Walters, Barnes, J T Delane, Lord Northcliff et al, stalked the halls of Fleet Street and elsewhere, as opposed to the malignant Murdoch's electronic child minnows, encaged as they are in Fortress Wapping with nary a grown up sub-editor in sight!
My necessaries are embark'd: farewell. Adieu! I have too grieved a heart to take a tedious leave.
