Tablet 10''+ vs laptop
Re: Tablet 10''+ vs laptop
I have an older Samsung 7" tablet which I purchased used about three years ago.
I use it for browsing, reading ebooks (perfect size), and videos, both stored and streaming.
Not a lot of native storage but I have a 128Gb micro SD card which holds dozens of movies and thousands of ebooks.
I'm sure a newer maybe 10" one would be faster, have better battery life, and more storage.

Lenovo builds some great models with an excellent battery. It is always worth deciding whether to buy a model with 4G connectivity and WiFi or just WiFi and definitely get a case with keyboard.

PHXP, and heavier.
I tend to use my 6 inch phone for browsing and an 8 inch Kindle for videos. Tried my wife's 10 inch Kindle. Although it is lighter than her IPad I find its weight and screen size are more tiring - bigger screen, hold further away

Walked into computer shop and came out with a Samsung Galaxy Tab A in a leather case and with protective glass.Mrs Ex-Ascot wrote: ↑Fri Oct 15, 2021 1:58 pmAs Ex-Ascot announced on TRABB earlier, my laptop computer has been pronounced dead.
I am contemplating replacing it with a Samsung tablet. Any suggestions as to wbich one....of course subject to availability.
I am still learning how it works but I am very pleased with it. Glad I didn"t buy a new laptop. This is much better.

Mrs Ex-A congrats. If its for browsing, messaging and reading, perfect.

Mrs Ex-A, did you get a seperate bluetooth keyboard for it? The on-screen virtual keyboard obscuring half the page is the main thing I don't like about tablets.

No, I don't even know if anyone here sells blue tooth keyboards here. But personally for my requirements I am happy with the virtual keyboard. Any serious stuff gets done on Ex-Ascot's computer.

Re: Tablet 10''+ vs laptop
I bought a Bluetooth keyboard for €12 for my tablet. However despite persevering for a few weeks I realised the on-screen keyboard was easier to use and gave the 'real' keyboard away. There are many downloadable keyboards, at least for Android tablets, different sizes.
