Sneaky Chrome

#1 Post by OFSO » Fri Sep 02, 2016 1:50 pm

The wife's laptop (used only for internet TV) started stuttering audio/and video last night when we returned from Mu-Mu land and turned it on. My thoughts were something wrong in buffering, overfilled cache, that sort of thing. Then I noticed that as well as the 'Fox, Chrome had crept back onto the laptop and disabled several extensions 'to protect itself'. A rapid uninstall of Chrome, the 'Fox back as default browser, and all was OK again. Only two people in this household and neither installed the Wicked Shiny Thing. Wonder how Chrome got back onto the machine ?
