Has anyone updated to iOS 12 or just left things (safely) be? I am currently running 11.3.2 with no headaches, just general pissoffs.
If anyone has updated, what problems have you had? I hear on the grapevine there are battery life issues.
Thanks.

I've upgraded to iOS12 on my iPhone6. No downside, and it seems to be running marginally faster. No issues with battery life as yet.

Thanks Alison.
I daren't (is that a word?) update anything till I get more feedback. I've spoken to a few collegues using Apple (almost all use Android) and they say the same thing, but a few complain having lost stuff like ph contacts and PDFs.

The voice of ignorance speaking, but humour me please.
Cannot you back up your contacts, PDF's and such before you update the OS?
I was a very late convert to a smart phone, but I chose Android over Apple because Apple seem to go out of their way not to allow connectivity to none Apple devices.
I fine the easiest way to work with all such devices is at the h/w level.
I bought this little gizmo.

When it is plugged into my phone, I have a USB drive available to move what I want when I want to the USB drive.
I then simply plug the USB drive into my Windoze PC.
The Android 'My Files' application allows me to move what I want, where I want.

If push comes to shove, I can always take the SD card out of my phone and plug it into the PC.

I was amazed that I can plug any size of drive into my Huawei and it appears as storage on the phone, ready for anything to be up or downloaded. Why did the developers of Android get everything so right and easy to use whereas everything Microsoft after XP and Win7 is a pain in the arse.

Windoze started as DOS and a 16bit architecture.
Remember when 60MB HDD's had to be partitioned? 'Cos of the addressing limits.
What did Android start from? I dunno but I'll guess 64bit.
