I had to restore WIndows on my Laptop. Hence the Open Office did not re-appear. Now I like to add an "Office" program - a free one obviously. Which one would you recommend?
The lap top runs on Windows 8.1.
Which free "Office" shoud I use?

OO is under medical supervision. Libre office, which has the same roots, is fully supported. It's free. Download it and try it?

Mrs. ExS just moved to iMac desktop ( not Macbook ) can Libre Office be loaded on to Mac, to read Word docs. moved over from the old P.C. computer ? Not tried yet, don't want to screw up the iMac ( just yet !)

I think LibreOffice is available on most platforms, so chances are that fruity machines are also supported. It does claim to support MacOS X.

RiS I suggest going to filehippo.com and giving these a try:
WPS Writer
WPS Presentstion
WPS Spreadsheet
The WPS suite is very MS officey and of course are free downloads.

Thanks for the advice. It looks just what I was looking for. Just a question: is the WPS Office the package that contains all the three individual functions?Slasher wrote: ↑Tue Nov 20, 2018 6:21 amRwy in Sight wrote: ↑Fri Nov 16, 2018 8:28 pmNow I like to add an "Office" program - a free one obviously. I downloaded each separately RIS but the package should be ok. The only thing with packages is risking an addition of useless bells and whistles.
