I have a large file to transfer - hi res photos of this house amounting to 153Mb - and my e-mail packages object to sending this as an attachment. Any ideas how to uplink it ?

If you have the Firefox browser, use the add on 'Firefox Send', it claims to accept files up to 1GB.

Sorry, I meant to send this as a 'reply' so that OFSO would get a notification.

Send it via G-mail, it will upload to your Google drive and be sent as a link.

Let us know if it works please.

A friend told about it, but I haven't needed to try it.

No, couldn't download it to my (latest version) of the Fox. But found something else which will try next week.

I use Mediafire as a file host, mostly for posting pictures here but it's useful for sharing large files with other people, various options to create links for different uses.

Depends where it's going. I chuck large files around between my machines using various ssh-based utilities.

Fiasco. Usually got to 80% of the files, then started recyling. After reducing files in size got a few over but ended up attaching ten photos at a time to giggle and sending them that way. Easier to dump the lot on an SD card and post it (although not from Spain where such things have a habit of disappearing from envelopes when they are opened, contents photocopied, and clumsily resealed).

If you have a Google account, you can upload your images to Google Photos and then share the album with who ever and they can download them at their leisure.

Yes I have. Google photos scoops up everything. Even the pictures you were thinking of taking but never got round to! Anyway, all done now....
