Block Google search results
Block Google search results
Using Firefox: I would like to block MSNBC 'video' results from my Google search results - they are paywalled and I do not subscribe, so useless. I cannot find any options to do this. Anyone?

Re: Block Google search results
Use the minus sign. ie:
-MSNBC
in your search term. That'll block any MSNBC results.

UP - brilliant - so simple! Thanks.
Re: Block Google search results
I was also thinking of how to do the same thing.
Plum does that mean the search string would be similar to this?
President Trump latest -MSNBC -CNN

Exactly right, Slasher. I use this feature all the time to get rid of "noise" from search results. Also works on fleabay etc.
Sent from my tatty old Windoze PC.

This is an education to me..
Can one type -UsualLyingBoll#cks and get well researched, unbiased news?
I just tried it and got a "No Search Results"

I find Amazon is as bad. You ask for plain pink silk pyjamas and it comes back with blue and white stripped wincyette pyjamas.
Re: F**k Google search results
Haven't used Google for yonks for universally well known reasons.
DDG is a bit clunky, but it's worth the extra effort for peace of mind.

Re: F**k Google search results
I am afraid Google gives more comprehensive results although they change their algorithms for the word lesbian not to provide so much porn.
Re: Block Google search results
No problem with DDG in that regard RiS. Just turn its safesearch option from its preset "moderate" setting to "Off". You will get so many carpet-munching results in pics and vids your head will spin for a year!
