Re: Teamviewer
Yes, but as receiver.
Installed TV. Emailed passcode and ID. They logged in and took over.
I closed down all my open programs to free up RAM. I have a non-standard setup using Classic View. He managed with no problems.

Re: Teamviewer
The CEO of a German Speed Cam logging and reporting site. We have corresponded for years as I use their speed cam data base. I input speed cam data; they give me a free subscription.
I don't know how many users there are in UK but it is a significant number as I often have to knock off duplicates, correct warning directions, and change erroneous speeds.

Re: Teamviewer
What exactly is the question?
Re: Teamviewer
Needs setting up as client. Cannot get QS module to function properly on it. I can view the screen but not control the machine.Looking for assistance setting up a friend's Galaxy S6 tablet.

Re: Teamviewer
If they have Tv , 14 is the latest, they should run it and give you their ID and PW. You enter these in yours. Your machine calls the other, they approve access.
Re: Teamviewer
I know how it works - have used it many times on Windows machines. I'm trying to set QS up on that machine for them. 14 it is and I have the Samsung TV add-on installed too.

Re: Teamviewer
My firewall didn't stop my session but do they have one that might?
Re: Teamviewer
Don't think so - have not really looked closely at the machine. It is a brand new machine and my friend has asked for TV. I would have thought that if I can connect the fire wall is not blocking?
Re: Teamviewer
PN - stand by on any further discussion - I have been rooting around in 'Tom's hardware' and come across 'Anydesk' which looks as if it is simpler and seees to do the job so far in Windows. Will try on the galaxy.
Re: Teamviewer
Anydesk looks promising, but similar issue as with TV - Samsung can access and control PC but PC will not properly connect with Samsung! Has to be a Samsung issue. Head-scratching in progress.
Re: Teamviewer
To close this off - got 'Anydesk' sorted on the Android and it now works well on both Win and Android.

Re: Teamviewer
There is a third one, I'll post the name just for interest when I boot the laptop.
Incidentally, the reason I had needed help was a covert block by my firewall software. When the penny dropped I used its 5 minute switch off routine.
