Browser and Storage app
As a way to put here programs we use and we like or find one to use I would welcome your suggestions about a browser alternate to Mozilla (as far a privacy, stability and speed go) and an app for storing files as an alternate to dropbox. I care both about Win 8.1 PC and android device.
I understand our leader uses the Brave browser which I have downloaded and use but it is less nicely in the basic version in comparison with Mozilla with its various add on.

Re: Browser and Storage app
I use different browsers at different times.
I've been a Firefox fan since it was called Netscape! But I find that Brave is the best for reading newspapers, as it has its own addblocker that somehow doesn't upset many websites. Even the Daily Fail can be read.
I even use Chrome occasionally, but the big no-no is anything from Micro$oft.

Thanks for the answers so far. Regarding Google and Micro$oft it is more a question where you want your date to be send. I think Washington state is a better place to be.ian16th wrote: ↑Tue Feb 04, 2020 7:52 amI use different browsers at different times.

Long-term and comfortable with Firefox - so many extensions and add-ons available. Why not just back-up your files?

Re: Browser and Storage app
Firefox with the Video Download Helper add on, is easier to use than anything I've found with Brave.

Brave for me is good to go in, do your sh!t, get out.
Firefox with addons is a damn beaut.
Opera only used when the VPN sometimes acts up ornery. Dunno why it works betterer.
Google bloody Chrome is only on my work laptop for work only and nothing at all private. Never shall those twains meet.

Pale Moon perhaps. My browser of choice. Fork off Firefox with lower overheads.Capetonian wrote: ↑Tue Feb 04, 2020 11:18 amA friend of mine swears by something called Purple Moon (I think?), but then he also believes the earth is flat so ......
