Chrome closing itself

#1 Post by PHXPhlyer » Tue Feb 18, 2020 9:59 pm

Help
I've been using Google Chrome as my everyday browser for years with no problems and general satisfaction. the last few days it has been closing itself, at first when I went to a bookmark (not all) just some. It restores the open tabs readly but now shuts itself down when I select one.
After restarting computer the problem persists.
Anyone with ideas?

Am using Opera as a back-up but am happier with chrome (when it works).

I have an completely inverted issue with Chrome. Installed but not used and then every now and then there it is waving at me from the taskbar :-h and I have to close it. Cannot find what is opening it.

It's Google taking its turn to try to take over the world.

I stopped using Chrome and switched to Chromium. Mostly the same thing but minus all the googly spy stuff (allegedly).

Any comments on an apparently new browser - Bravo ?

I used Bravo as an emergency browser. I thought it was ok but not as customizable as Chrome. Fortunately Chrome miraculously revived itself. Ad blockers and other extensions seem to work better with Chrome.
