Icons.

I believe that I have received a W10 update.
My 'home screen' now resembles a smart-phone with large square icons.

Is this mandatory? - or can I return to how it was?

G-CPTN:
Still working with W7 but there should be something in Control Panel that should allow adjustments. :-?
No great nieces or nephews you can call? :))
Good luck!

A blue 'scene' with small programme-icons (including such things as the 'recycle bin') and various 'shortcuts' for things such as folders.

Now the screen is covered by squares with 'apps'.

It looks just like a smartphone.

Ah. That is the normal Win 8/10 display. I use Classic Desktop which can run earlier displays.

Seems that I might be in 'tablet mode'.

I found a screen which gave me a choice of starting in tablet mode or desktop mode and restarted into desktop mode.

Jetzt ist alles in Ordnung.
