How can you see comments under videos on you tube?

I can longer view comments on You Tube, I never log out of it and I dare not change any setting, 'cos I don't understand any of it, yet tonight mysteriously all the comments on everyone's videos have disappeared...

I'm glad these people do not make life support machines.........

I tried to you tube how to rectify it, mostly seems to be about how to see your own comments....and in any case there does notseem to be a check box that says 'Show Comments', I suspect that would be way too logical...

Just looked at this and I could see the comment!
Using a PC, with Win/10 and Firefox for my browser.

I couldn't see any comments until I clicked on the word "YouTube" at lower right in videos after the video had started playing. Once clicked then all videos show the comments.

It depends how you see youtube videos on the youtube site. Can you see the video suggestions on a column on the right? If so the comments should be under the video. Otherwise maybe you have to see the clips in a format (like cinema or full screen where no comments are visible). There are three rectangular icons on the bottom right of the video - for choosing those different settings.

I take the comments are not de-activated.

Comments only visible under/below reduced size screen. If video clip is expanded to fill whole screen, comments not visible.

Yeah, can't see them...they were always there...and now they are not, I clicked mini player theatre mode & play on TV all these rectangular buttons bit to no avail... :/

Next door is an IT guy....I'm trying to get him over.....mind you should not need an IT guy for stuff like this...
