Chrome Shutting Down

#1 Post by PHXPhlyer » Sun Apr 04, 2021 12:13 am

Today on my Win 7 desktop, every time I highlight something to 'copy and paste' or 'google search', as soon as I right click it Chrome shuts down. ~X( [-X
Not a clue why. :-?
Any ideas? :-??

I blame Microsoft, Big Brother tactics.

See my post on Computer Chatter. Suddenly I need to use a VERY old password allied to an ancient, and generally unused, Microsoft account ( Hotmail) just to even start my computer. Fortunately I have a 20+ years old, 30 page, A.4 file of written down passwords ( Shhh ! don't tell anyone, especially Microsoft) so was able to locate the right one and and still able to use my laptop, at least for now, who knows what tricks they will play tomorrow.

My Skype is unobtainable on this computer now, too. Didn't Microsoft take that over some time ago ? I know that there is still some cash on my account, I occasionally used it for Skype to Phone, but can't anymore. I'm instructed to sign in to my Microsoft account every time I try to use Skype, but it wont.

Skype .......... This page isn’t working If the problem continues, contact the site owner.
HTTP ERROR 401 Yeah! Right !

At least got Skype working again, had to remove and re-instal again, but each time I use it I have to "instal" again, even tho' I haven't uninstalled again. Tis a mystery, but at least I have use of it and my credit is still there.
