Because it's too hard to get it to actually do anything?

Same reason for me, but I therefore reluctantly accept Windows and try to understand its whims (often without success). I have tried Linux and still have it on my PC. It's not actually 'hard' to get it to do anything, it just requires a lot more effort, and like an old glove, Windows more or less soldiers on, with its holes and paint stains.
Yes, the 'ideas' of the M$ nerds who seem to want to change my preferences with many updates are infuriating, but like many things in life I live with it. ('Wife' (qv)? )'

With a bit of effort you can get Linux to do pretty much anything that Windows can, except run Windows-specific programs. Even some of those can be persuaded. I find Linux lets me do a lot more than Windows because it isn't trying to second-guess what I actually want. I have both and only use Windows when I have to. At the moment, outside of work stuff, I fire it up once a year to run the tax return software.
