I know this has been mentioned before, but I can't find it !

I need to find an e-mail programme to download e-mails from my ISP to my computer to avoid having to go into the ISP webmail website every day, then I can at least delete all that I don't want, as my wife andI use the same e-mail address, and I don't need to keep all her cosmetic, fashion etc, crap stuff.

For many years I was happy with Outlook Express, followed by Outlook of course, but when buying a new laptop I was a obliged to buy Office 365 to continue with Outlook and I refuse to subscribe to that unless I'm absolutely forced to. I've been using eMclient recently, but am getting fed up with it, details unimportant, so what do others recommend ? Thunderbird maybe ?

I'm using OE Classic from a small developer.. It's a copy of what MS used to be like but with improvements.

Thunderbird - used it for years. I interface with gmail, protonmail and BTinternet no problems and filter sources so my brother has his folder, O-N has it's folder and so on.

Another vote for Thunderbird, I have connected it to Gmail, Yahoo mail, and also old OE files.

+1 for Thunderbird.... Seems to do the job very well...

The late *Ian16th* was a fan too.

And a fifth vote for Thunderbird.
The only thing is that its instantaneous loading is interrupted once a week for updating. Never knew a package which updates so often.
But it's stable, simple to use and set up.
