Shrinking pdf

I have a pdf that I'm trying to attach to a post.
Message says file too big.
File shows as 1,291 KB.
How do I resize it?

Save As Other
Reduced Size PDF
I do have PDF pro however

G~man helped me with compressing the jpeg.
I'm having trouble getting it to embed in a post.
It shows as an attachment but does not open.
The preview says "File not downloaded.

Surely it says 'File not downloaded YET'? That means no-one has viewed it yet! Post it and view the post.
