Thank you C16. Remember now. No we haven't been either. I don't think so PHX. The problem is it is being added to all the time. Donations, paintings bequeathed to The Club and commissions. For example Wodders asked for a Lysander. I can almost picture the one I have seen.here and know where it was but I can't find it now.

OK not a painting but a photograph from The Spitfire room. With reduced definition it may be difficult to make out detail. Not sure of the year but loads of medals there

Had to look it up. Must be good. built in the same place as the VC10. I don't think.so but there are a few aircraft we don't recognise. Will keep an eye out.

I can't read the plaque even if I could it may not say. What, where and when anyone know?

An RAF Sentinel aircraft flies over a tactical ground station in Afghanistan. The Astor (Airborne STand-Off Radar) system has played a key role in battlefield intelligence gathering for allied forces. Commissioned by Raytheon Systems Ltd to commemorate the 1000th sortie and 10,000th flying hour of the system, this painting was presented to 5 (AC) Squadron RAF in December 2012 and now hangs in the RAF Club, Piccadilly. Oil on canvas.
