Gatwick Aviation Museum

I spent a couple of pleasant hours at the Gatwick Aviation Museum on Friday. An interesting collection of Cold War era stuff, with some exhibits about LGW and its history.

The volunteers are really knowledgeable and happy to actively engage with visitors. The tour of the Shackleton was a highlight.

Check opening days/times as it is only open FRI SAT SUN. http://www.gatwick-aviation-museum.co.uk/

Really worth a visit, it's in Charlwood and lies at the western end of LGW runway, it is also a good vantage point for plane spotting.

Yes, worth a visit - it has had its 'ups and downs' over the years. Thanks for the pix.
