A good programme on Wednesday evening on BBC4. The early days of the RNAS and the first carrier landings in WW1. I wasn't aware of this history but knew an uncle did part of his FAA training on HMS Furious in the second round. A couple of weeks ago his son went up in a Tiger Moth at Duxford and said later he had a greater understanding and respect for what his dad did. Cuz would've liked to have had a go in another of his dad's planes - a Fairy Swordfish but no wing walking allowed. :D
