Alison, at Coningsby I had two trips in the Annie one day. On return before lunch it was easy to find the airfield. In the afternoon it was very hard to find in the autumn mists - all the white ones in the morning had gone!

I wonder if that was the same Station Flight Annie that I helped to push out of the hanger when a 57 Sqdn Canberra went up in flames. On the 5th April 1957?
Cpl Paddy Murphy of the Fire Section was awarded a George Medal for his efforts that day.
I'd empties one of the ARSF foam extinguishers on the fire before the Fire Section arrived, no medal for me though.
