The Battle of Midway.

I don't know if any of the folks here watched the 2019 film Midway (I didn't) but this historical narrative by historian Craig Symonds of the Naval War College covering the Battle of Midway is fascinating.

That was amazing, tgg - good find. It reinforces the theory that battle tactics are often inferior to luck. Despite the many cock-ups by the USA, good intuitive uncoordinated decisions by subordinates and a few successful d b strikes sealed the deal. The ?total? failure of the t bs was a surprise. Best has to take much of the credit - good shooting, Sir!
