I fear it might - I've become somewhat used to both dodging errant moderators and also the resident troll on "the other place"; it has made me read things through several times before posting for fear of unwittingly causing provocation. I find it hard to understand how "the other place" has descended to the way it is now - it seems counter-intuitive for a profit-making enterprise to drive away most of the most popular content providers, and make more work for the moderators to boot.

VP959, you're thinking like an intelligent and logical person. Don't, because that's not what you're dealing with at Pprune.

Yup, this is a thought police antagonist-free zone and the better for it. I put him on 'ignore' so I didn't see his vitriolic dribblings. I frequent other forums and I'm fairly sure he posts on them under different pseudonyms but the content style is always the same.

Thanks for the welcome - I've had the same individual on ignore for over a year now, but others just quote his vitriolic drivel, so I may as well not bother!

Perhaps Mr VP could do us the courtesy of introducing himself - proper like. It's been an awfully long time since I was banned on TOP and have no recollection of his adventures there.

Welcome VP - as a long time reader and some time poster on TOP I appreciated the depth of your knowledge. Now as a long time reader here and very recent poster I look forward to more of the same.
