Yes, It is set by Alison that when you get to the next ranking, the rankings change by adding 50 posts required
to achieve the next rank / star :D

There you go. You can be our Test Pilot. ;;)

What that means is a) you're expendable and b) they don't trust you with SLF onboard. :))

Did QE II come with, or did they fly unaccompanied.

I once had about 240 live saltwater Crocodiles crammed into a C402. Loaded at Mt Hagen for a croc farm at Madang (I think. Long time ago.) Each in a heavy duty cardboard carton with a strong rubber band holding their jaws shut.

I was most relieved after arriving at the destination to find that none had managed to escape from their containers. #:-s

Though I once heard a story that a Talair Pilot was once not so lucky! :-o

One of our BN2A's acquired a snake between the pedals in Daru. After a while it seem to disappear without coming out. To all intents and purposes the aircraft was grounded indefinitely as no one was prepared to fly it. It was 250nm back to Port Moresby, a few hours in an Islander, with nowhere to land in between and a snake sitting on your feet. :-ss

Think about it, but it's a lot of work.

Alison
PS. How did the crocs get up to Mt Hagen?

Very few people I'd trust to fly my hounds around. They're more important than humans IMO.

Accident in he DRC where a baby croc got out of someone's luggage and all the pax headed for the cockpit to escape it. Unrecoverable CofG shift led to the aircraft spearing in I believe.

Kariba and the Zambesi were seriously overpopulated with crocs at one time when Mad Bob was in full cry chasing farmers out of Zim. A lot of the croc farms just turned their entire stock loose in the lake and shut up shop.

No, 'craft went in as result of pòor (i.e. Central African) maintenance. Croc story was put about afterwards as a cover story.

How did the crocs get up to Mt Hagen?

Tis now a long time ago so I'm not sure it was Mt Hagen I picked up that particular cargo, but from wherever it was, there was a Croc breeding farm.

I flew them to Madang where apparently there was another farm where they were to be 'grown up' and eventually turned into frightfully expensive leather handbags!

Oh, and Crocodile steaks. :D B-)

That's just not fair. It's so... so... so wrong. Therefore I'm going to sit here responding to every post on the entire board with the word "Hi". That should up my post count pretty quickly. :D :D

Not so loud. Discussion of Aunt Mabel's winnings could lead to smiting.
