I don't know why everyone is getting so wound up about the problems Volkswagen are having with their diesel engines, they've obviously never been to the FFF&B ploughing match http://www.ploughingmatch.co.uk/

Morning all, foggy here this morning, going to be a really nice day, bright sunshine in a crystal clear blue sky.

Bright and sunny here and it's now 09:00 on Sunday.

As feared I had to sleep in Lazyboy last night but it was a pleasant evening out
and met some new ex UK folk. SWMBO has started to suggest that I go and see
our Doc but I am holding out in case he wants me to have that large drainpipe
shoved down my throat.

Now for some really, really boring news - even more boring than my normal posts. i-)

As it has been quite a long time since I had to consume an extensive amount of alcohol before
I could get on a flight I have decided to change my log-in name. These days I am quite happy to
fly without any need of alcohol, indeed I never even bother whilst on board these days.

And there's More:- :D

Auckland's parking wardens issued nearly $1 million worth of parking tickets in the wee small hours over the last year.
Auckland Council is defending its ticketing regime from a revenue-gathering accusation after it issued 12,000 tickets
between midnight and 6am, raising NZ$914,724, the Herald on Sunday reports.
The council has 10 parking wardens who work until 3am, compared to Wellington's one on-call warden at a similar
time and none in Christchurch.

LG, Yes I suppose I should have used that originally rather than "nervous" :D
Somehow alcohol just doesn't have much appeal these days, I have just stopped
drinking but are unable to think of any specific reason. :-?

Morning all.
Not a bad start to the day as the weather looking good for once.

We had a superb meal out last night in the Cuan Mor down in Oban. Scallops wrapped in bacon with green beans and garlic new potatoes. Very tasty indeed.

Breakfast in a little while, then we're off to near Leuchars on the east coast for a short stay with another of Mrs HF's cousins.
Home on Wednesday with a bit of luck.

Morning folks, looks like another warm one. Upper 30s at the end of the week. All is indicating for approaching 50 next month. That may even get me into the pool.

Got a 'with respect Sir' talking to by the head gardener about my mammoth watering skills yesterday. That's it, he has the job. That is what he wanted in the first place anyway. Doubling gardeners hour to 32 hrs a week.

Morning folks. Foggy here so I can't see what the weather is like.

HF, When you're over Leuchars way, give my regards to the Commie - i was banned from Hendies on my first visit for reasons I have never been able to fathom. (Sounds familiar??). I had just been posted to Leuchars and as I stepped through the door to sample the place, Nancy roared at me "Git oot, yah barrrred!!" I sought refuge in the Commie for the next five and a half years.
It's always my fault - SWMBO

B****r - MagnusP blew the gaff! Kept the TV and radio off this morning so I could watch the F1 re-run after lunch without knowing who had won!

Great day again in these parts - no clouds and 10C now. Should reach the giddy heights of 18C with a bit of luck - job for today, back to lopping three foot off a 13ft high leylandii hedge. Day three and it should be finished today as long as I don't fall off the Henchman.

A very misty and cool start to the morning. A friend will be staying overnight after 'losing' her 18yr old twin daughters. One went to uni last Saturday and the other was taken to Keele yesterday. Living closer to her than mum, I am in loco parentis (gulp) for the latter. Friend has a severe case of empty nest syndrome so I think drink will be taken today. :)

Morning. A really lovely Autumnal one here.

As luck would have it, I have already cleared a spider from the bathroom this morning. I am the only one in the family who can undertake these tasks. The others being in Drapers' boat when it comes to arachnids and their ilk. Found a false widow in the corner of the lounge yesterday and as I type Sky have just done a report on the spread of the false widow northwards from the south coast. Our manor is also rich in stag beetles for some reason.

Poor old CharlieOneSix! Still F1 is pretty boring nowadays unless you're a real petrol-head.

A bientot!
All generalisations are false, including this one.

Moto GP prog has just started on NZ TV, now Moto 3 is absolute chaos and mayhem but in a good fun way, :D
Moto 2 not quite so but still usually very interesting and then Moto GP itself which is always great to watch. ^:)^

Greetings, gentlefolk, for it be a Sunday

A fine one too, Blue, 22 for 27, Yer guesser person is 100% for Tormentas on Tuesday.

I have some painting to do today, about 27 cm (one of your feet in old) where the paint has flaked off. There is also an extension lead to manufacture for Senior Management's electric balnket, which could wait but would then be forgotten.

I should catch the Moto GP live now as there is no longer any point in watching the F1 pretending it is live as I was going to do.
